Our Family
Jean Gallo has been a passionate about Wine and Champagne for a long time.
He had transformed this passion into his work as he was a very well known distributor on the French Riviera, specialised in Provence Rosé wines. He naturally transmitted his values and passion to his son.
They always dreamt about acquiring a vineyard and the dream came true in 2013 when they purchased this small land and created Domaine des Mapliers.
Our Land
The vineyard is located in the heart of Provence Varoise, mondially known for its Rosé, between Lorgues and Saint Antonin du Var. Rich from an antique heritage of vine culture and Templars land.
The vines are spread hillside, south facing, on a calcareous clay soil. It is surrounded by our Olive grove and a forest of oak trees. Our land is very special due to it's altitude of 300m. Indeed it procures to the fruit a natural acidity that gives to the wine this very precious and very unique taste of fruits in our Provence Rosé.
Our Philosophy
All of Domaine des Mapliers is cultivated in total respect of nature. Our soils are treated naturally with a mechanical weeding and plowing. For the vine treatments, we only use organic products; we forbid any pesticides or weedkiller.
The vineyard is certified organic.
The vine trellised on metal wire. The harvest is done by hand. Wine is made in Stainless steel thermo regulated tanks.
